Tourism Zone
Treatment:
Feeling of ‘kicking back and relaxing on a paradise island’,
This space provides an opportunity to connect our national story (nature, history and culture) with a forward-looking view of where our nation is heading. We want it to be a story of innovation, enterprise and sustainable development. To this end, ‘Tourism’ should be given a broad reading to include the sustainable engagement of our visitors as part of our nation-building plan.
Whilst we may not be able to explicitly invite investment, this space should:
Demonstrate the country’s leadership in sustainable development
Illustrate the country’s innovation in the areas of agriculture and aquaculture, investment migration, sports tourism, climate change response
Showcase the tourism products of both islands
Direct foreign investment – interactive tourism product
Invite the visitors.
NOTE: We recommend replacing print panels with 82″ LCD televisions to provide visitors with a more complete and persuasive video narrative
Experience:
A staged cockleshell/spice mill view of Nevis while at the St. Kitts beach complete with a few minor props, wall treatments etc, and a floor video projection of gentle waves washing onto shore. Have a seat on the white sandy beach and listen to the natural therapeutic sounds of the oceans swash and backwash.
To further magnify the visitor experience we will aim to utilize a crafty flow of concentrated ‘birds-eye-view’ digital footage set to the background sounds of steel pan and reggae music instrumentals (fly board, drone/helicopter) and images of existing and soon to be brought on stream tourism projects that illustrates both a booming industry as well vast beautiful sections of untouched lands that can be developed. This approach allows the viewer to experience in aerial fashion the true marvel that is ‘St.Kitts & Nevis’.
We will also utilize this opportunity to illustrate how easily it is to travel to and from the federation
We STRONGLY recommend replacing the lightbox with a more engaging LED wall — OR — keep the lightbox but replace the six (6) posters with display monitors to loop VIDEO. Video will be prepared using clips from this playlist: click here –> Playlist of Video Content
